Port Details

Port Canaveral, Florida
Gateway to Walt Disney World and home to the world-famous Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral is the place to explore the skies, the seas and the magical places in between.

Stand on the Launch Complex Observation Gantry to get an aerial view of the space shuttle launch pads and the International Space Station Center. Or tour the Air Force Space and Missile Museum, where the whole family can learn more about the United States heritage of space exploration.

The Cape has all kinds of outdoor adventures, with some of the best surfing beaches on the East Coast. You can also stroll through the Brevard Zoo to the "Paws-On Interactive Zone," where your family can be just a whisker away from many fascinating animals native to Florida.

Nassau, Bahamas
Nassau is a city on New Providence Island and the the capital of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. Guests will experience Old World colonial charm and island recreation at this important commercial and cultural center in the tropics.

In Nassau's famed Old Town, find the city's Parliament Building, painted an interesting pink and helmed by a statue of Queen Victoria—a remnant and reminder of the island's British colonial past. A tour around the island—paid or self-guided—will reveal interesting old forts to explore, including the historic Fort Fincastle. The daring might even take a royal climb up the 66 steps of the Queen's Staircase, which was carved out of calcareous—a coral-based sandstone—at the end of the 18th century. The stupendous view is the prize for any adventurer.

After you've gotten a taste of Nassau's old history through its landmarks, you can immerse yourself in the local culture that has grown up around colonial roots and island influences by shopping for souvenirs and handicrafts on historic Bay Street. Quirky boutiques and jewelry stores line this commercial center, with jaw-dropping bargains to boot.

If you'd rather just spend the day as a guest at the showy, 34-acre Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island, consider a day pass, which gets you access to most of the must-see sights at the resort, such as the Dig, the marine habitats and their beach.  They also have the island's largest casino, for those who feel like testing their luck.

Castaway Cay
Reserved exclusively for Guests on Disney Cruise Line vacations, Castaway Cay is Disney's private port-of-call paradise. On this island, enjoy tropical leisure activities, such as snorkeling, boating, swimming and sunbathing.

Castaway Cay visitors find an island completely outfitted for premium family leisure. Ample amenities include open-air BBQ dining locations, 2 shops featuring Castaway Cay gifts and souvenirs, and convenient tram transportation (now with additional paths) around the island. Also enjoy:

It's Official!

Welp, it's official, we're doing a Disney Cruise Wedding! The tickets have been booked and the first guests are already signing up. Huge thanks to the Groom's parents (aka, mom and dad) for all their help!

The cruise departs from Port Canaveral, Florida on October 7. On October 8 we'll dock at Nassau, capital of the Bahamas. On October 9 we'll reach Castaway Cay, Disney's private island. We'll arrive back in port on October 10.  We'll be married after setting sail, but a final date hasn't been set by the ship yet.
